To start your meeting, you will need to invoke the "Meeting Manager" applet. This applet controls and manages the meeting and participant functions; as well as advanced options such as live annotation, file transfers, VOIP, application sharing, and meeting recording.
You can invoke your Meeting Manager in one of two ways. The easiest and quickest way is to right-click the eBLVD icon in the system tray and choose "Open Meeting Manager" when the menu appears. You will decide whether latecomers will be "granted" or "denied" permission to join a meeting in-progress.
You can either leave the Meeting Manager open, or minimize it to begin presenting your meeting content. Even though the Meeting Manager display is not broadcast to your participants - you may want to minimize it so that you have a full desktop view.
You will need to re-invoke the Meeting Manager to use the text chat or other advanced function; or to pause or end your meeting.
To do so, simply click the eBLVD icon in your System Tray and choose the "Open Meeting Manager" menu option. Your meeting and associated teleconference can go as long as needed.
When you have finished the meeting, simply hang up the telephone and re-invoke the Meeting Manager on your PC. Clicking the Show button again will stop the remote broadcast of your screen. Once your remote attendees close their browser windows, they will drop off of the Participant List. You can also force their browsers to close by choosing the "End Meeting" option from the File Menu.
Your eBLVD Online Meetings service also features live annotation, meeting recording, surveys, VoIP, transferring files, and advanced meeting registration.

How do I use the Polling / Survey function?
Prior to a meeting, or while a meeting is in progress, the Presenter may assign a survey from their meeting details page. An existing survey may be used, or a new survey can be created.
Distributing Surveys
Auto-Display
If the presenter checks the “Auto-Display after Meeting” checkbox, the Client window will automatically display the survey to the meeting participants after the meeting has concluded (either by the presenter terminating all participant connections, or by the participant attempting to close the Client window).
The Participant may then complete the survey and submit the results.
Email
Presenters also have the option to email all participants a link to take the survey. This method is limited however, because only participants who had been emailed meeting invitations thru the eBLVD website will receive the survey links.
Viewing Survey Responses
If a survey was assigned for a meeting, a link to view the survey results will be visible on the “Past Meetings” tab. When clicked, the responses (for that meeting only) for that survey will be displayed.
To view ALL responses for a given survey (in the case where one survey is used over and over for many meetings) the presenter may either access the survey from their main “Manage Surveys” page (link located in the Toolbox of the Online Meetings homepage) or they can click the “View all responses” link on the left side of the survey results page.
Managing Surveys
Surveys can be reviewed, created, or deleted by following the “Manage Surveys” link, located in the Toolbox menu on the left side of the presenter's main Online Meetings page.

How do I use voice chat (VoIP) and what are the benefits?
Using Voice Chat requires the presenter's PC to have a sound card, speakers, and a microphone. Participants need at least a sound card and speakers to listen to the presentation, and also a microphone if they'll be speaking during the meeting.
It is strongly recommended that all parties use a headset during the meeting, to prevent feedback from being transmitted between speakers and a free-standing microphone.
The benefits are that the VoIP option is included with eBLVD allows you and your attendees to talk to each other through your PCs over the Internet at no charge. Additionally, it’s faster. Since our integrated VoIP makes the connection when you and your attendees join the meeting, there are no numbers to dial (or misdial) to get the audio for your meeting.

How is the audio portion of my Online Meeting provided?
You can use your own telephone conferencing system, our built-in voice chat feature, or eBLVD integrated telephone conferencing. For eBLVD telephone conferencing, we have FREE toll-based and 10 cents per-minute TOLL-FREE voice conferencing options.
We do not charge or collect fees for the use of our toll based teleconferencing service during your meetings. You and your attendees can also talk for free by choosing the “VOIP" option. Our free VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) option enables meeting participants to transmit and receive audio over the Internet at no cost to them using a microphone and speakers connected to their computers. (A USB headset is recommended for those speaking.)

What are Account Preferences?
Account Preferences are customer-driven, account-specific settings that control how eBLVD products perform. These preferences are by default pre-set to the most common way you would use the service. There are circumstances where you may choose to change the pre-set value to one that alters the way you want the system to perform. Some of these choices are display related, such as co-branding, default start pages, and the number of rows of data displayed on a page. Other settings are service-specific. See the User Guide for your specific service(s) to learn more.

How do I upgrade my Participant level above my licensed quantity?

To upgrade, simply sign into your BLVD account, select 'My Account', then 'My Services'. From this screen, select 'Increase Participants' and choose which level and duration you'd like for your upgrade.
Your account will automatically be upgraded on the date chosen and will revert back to its prior settings after the upgrade duration has passed.
There is no limit on the number of invitations that can be distributed for a given meeting. However, if more invitations are sent than the maximum allowed, a red alert message is displayed to the presenter informing them that they have gone over the limit.
At this point, a link is provided to upgrade the participant level, either temporarily (48 hours) or permanently. The upgrade can be performed at any time before the meeting starts, and has no impact on the number of invites that can be sent out.

How do I use the File Transfer feature?
File transfers currently are implemented via the eBLVD Client toolbar. For Online Meetings, permission must be granted by the host/presenter via Meeting Manager to allow this privilege. The pertinent button for transferring files to and/or from the host is button 3 -- "Transfer"; which has 2 options. Option 1 is to "Copy Files TO Host" and Option 2 is to "Copy Files FROM Host". NOTE: Buttons 1 & 2, "Copy" and "Paste text or graphics" is still used for copying text or graphics, but not files.
Option 1 is used to copy files from remote client to the host. To use this feature, the remote user will select the file(s) or folder(s) on his PC by using the Windows select and copy function. Then, the remote user will click the ''Transfer' button (button 3), "Copy Files TO Host" option on the eBLVD client toolbar. They will see a dialog box of the file system of the Host PC. They or the Presenter can then select the "Save to" location on that PC.
Option 2 is used to copy file(s) or folder(s) from the Host PC to remote client. To use this feature, the presenter will select and copy a file or folder on his system to be made available to the remote user. Next, the remote user will click the 'Transfer' button (button 3), "Copy Files FROM Host" option on the eBLVD Client toolbar. A dialog box will display representing their local file system. How do I calculate the Upload/Download time for my file transfer(s)?
When you calculate the time required to transfer a file, you'll need use a standard unit for file size, such as Kilobytes.
Most files that you transfer are represented in Kilobytes. If you plan to transfer a file that's represented in Megabytes, just multiply the number of Megabytes by 1,024 to get the number of Kilobytes.
To calculate the number of minutes it takes to transfer a file under ideal conditions, divide the file size in kilobytes by your connection speed, and then divide by 6 (to account for the number of bits).
For example:
The calculation for transferring a one megabyte (1024 Kilobytes) file via a 28.8 modem looks like:
1024/28.8/6 = 5.93 minutes
Please Note:
ISDN lines typically transfer data 64 Kilobytes per second
T1 lines will transfer data at 1577 Kilobytes (1.54 Mbps) per second
Most transfers will be effected by some Internet traffic and bandwidth problems.
To determine your actual connection speed, you can use this link: http://speedtest.net

How do I configure my firewall to allow the use of eBLVD?
Desktop firewall applications are designed to block network traffic and secure the desktop PC from incoming and outbound network connections. Since eBLVD utilizes TCP ports for data broadcast with other Internet-enabled devices, you may need to explicitly allow this traffic to be un-blocked by Firewall applications. To do so, you must add eBLVD application processes into the Firewall Programs Exception List.
Please consult your firewall application documentation on how to add eBLVD application to the exception list.
Note: eBLVD files include:
eBhost.exe
eBclient.exe
eBsetup.exe
eBcp.dll
eBhk.dll
These application processes are located in the eBLVD installation folder (C:\Program Files\eBLVD\ if installed on your C drive with default settings).
eBLVD also uses the following ports for communication to/from these processes:
Inbound and outbound TCP:
80
443

I’m experiencing slow screen broadcast performance or connection drops
Most of the problems regarding screen update latency and connection drops with eBLVD are related to limited Internet bandwidth and/or slow networks, firewalls or proxy servers. Based on our lab tests, we believe our service performs better than 95% of all other screen sharing competitors - and 100% better than those at our price point. This is because in addition to extremely efficient compression/decompression algorithms, we are broadcasting only changed pixels, not the entire desktop.
When measuring available bandwidth for an Online Meetings session, divide your total available bandwidth as measured by tools such as speedtest.net by the number of your current (or average) active high-bandwidth Internet users. If a this calculation results in less than 300kBit/s Ethernet available upstream bandwidth, the bandwidth may not be sufficient for acceptable desktop sharing performance of large screens -- especially when video or animated content is being displayed. On shared connections keep in mind that the available bandwidth is constantly changing as users are continually increasing or reducing (bursting) bandwidth requirement.
Under normal circumstances, the amount of data transfer capacity needed to share a typical eBLVD desktop presentation is between 100Kbs and 1Mbs. Where you fall in the range is dependent on content, as well as the resolution and color depth of your desktop.
To improve performance, you can either increase the speed of your Internet connection; limit users access to broadband sites such as YouTube, Hulu, Netflix etc.; or reduce their network traffic by reducing the screen resolution and the window size of the shared application. In addition, a flat color background image instead of a background photo can greatly improve desktop sharing performance.
Note also that wireless connections are not recommended for meeting presenters.
